Les adventices sont nuisibles pour la production agricole mais essentielles pour la biodiversité. Dans ce travail, nous avons simulé des petits paysages agricoles avec le modèle "parcelle virtuelle" FLORSYS pour déterminer s'il est préférable d'attribuer les services de production et de biodiversité à des terres différentes (séparation des terres, i.e. landsparing) ou les concilier dans chaque parcelle (partage des terres, i.e. landsharing). Dans le cas des systèmes de culture à base de maïs utilisant des herbicides non-sélectifs très efficaces en Aquitaine, la séparation des terres associant des champs intensifs avec des champs en semis direct ou des bandes enherbées était plus efficace pour concilier production et biodiversité que le partage des terres. Ces résultats sont spécifiques à ce cas d'étude; des nouvelles simulations et règles de gestion doivent être établies pour d’autres objectifs, régions et types de système de production.
